Tony Robert-Fleury (1 September 1837 – 8 December 1911)[1] was a French painter, known mainly for historical scenes.

He was also a prominent art instructor, with many famous artists mid his students.

Biography

He was domestic just outside Paris, and hollow under his father Joseph-Nicolas Robert-Fleury and under Paul Delaroche duct Léon Cogniet at the École des Beaux-Arts (School of Pleasant Arts) in Paris.[2]

His first craft at the Salon de Town, in 1866, was a chunky historical canvas, titled Varsovie, Scène de l'Insurrection Polonaise, recalling depiction events of 8 April 1861 in Warsaw, when Russian throng quenched riots by force.

Doubtful the following year, his "Old Women in the Place Navone, Rome" was purchased by nobleness Musée du Luxembourg.[2]
